Nice Cream ?
Created in 2 days as part of a game jam, within a game development training program.
The theme was: Repetition. We interpreted it as a summer routine with a twist, the same friendly gesture repeated behind the counter, one customer after another, each order a little variation on the last.
It's sunny. It's hot. And you're all out of flavor.
Nice Cream ? is a cozy first-person shop game where you run the counter of an ice cream parlor during the summer season. You've got nothing left to flavor your scoops, so you'll have to dig through the parlor to find whatever it takes to keep your customers happy.
Make their dream cone… or let them down.
Customers walk in and tell you exactly what they want. Grab the ingredients, stack them onto the cone in the right order, and hand it over in time. Get it right and they leave delighted. Get it wrong, or too slow, and they walk out disappointed.
A summer job. How hard could it be?
Order system - each customer asks for a specific sequence of ingredients. Order matters: the right scoop in the wrong place still counts as a mistake.
Timer - customers won't wait forever. From the moment they order, you're on the clock to build and serve their cone before their patience runs out.
Ingredient hunt - dig through the parlor, grab ingredients from their spots, and stack them onto the cone to build the ice cream scoop by scoop. Dropped the wrong one? Let it go and grab another.
Dialogue system - orders appear letter by letter, with the requested ingredients shown on screen so you always know what's next.
Lives & scoring - every failed or expired order costs you. Serve fast and friendly to keep the good vibes going and climb the score.
