Last Dive   

Created in 2 days for a game jam as part of a game development training program.

The theme was Space. We interpreted it through the vastness of the ocean, an infinite, crushing expanse that paradoxically closes in around you. Darkness shrinks your world, turning the deep sea into something claustrophobic and unforgiving.

Dive into the abyss. Don't run out of air.

Last Dive is a top-down underwater shooter where you pilot a diver through corrupted depths. Capture healthy fish, hunt infected creatures, and survive the creeping darkness, all while your oxygen slowly runs out.

The ocean floor is not your friend.

    Mechanics   

Health & Oxygen - manage two resources at once. Run out of either and it's over.

Wave system - enemies spawn in procedural waves with increasing pressure.

Smart enemies - fish roam the map, have a field of vision, can't see through obstacles, and will return to the last place they spotted you.

Seaweed zones - hide from enemies inside algae patches, but you won't be able to attack while concealed.

Corruption zone - the map slowly shrinks as a toxic corruption closes in, dealing damage over time.

Lighting - the ocean is dark. Your vehicle's lamp is all you have.
